Good Planet Project shares stories about our earth and strategies to save it.

About

As an environmental media company, our goal is to share and celebrate all of the efforts being made to protect our planet, with the hope of inspiring you, the viewer, to take action in your own way.

We’re excited to collaborate with a range of artists working with various mediums to keep the content entertaining, straightforward and fresh while trying our best to keep it inspiring and encouraging. Climate change and the future of our planet can be a heavy topic but the inspiring people we profile keep us hopeful and optimistic.

We recognize the intersectionality required to approach climate justice and environmentalism. We work to collaborate with and be led by those most impacted by climate change. We honor the unique perspectives and expertise of the First Nations, Metis and Inuit communities; in the LGBTQ+ communities; in BIPOC communities; and in any community with a voice that is not being given the space to be heard.

If you’re an organization or business that has a budget and a good environmental story to tell, let us help. Know that by supporting The Good Planet Project, you’re supporting the environmental and grassroots organizations whose limited funds go directly towards their cause. Through our ‘Win-Win’ approach we ensure your support goes as far as it possibly can.

In short, we’re basically a bunch of creative people looking to use our skills, knowledge and talents to protect the planet we love. The earth is our priority and the people working to save it are our strength.

Principles:

  • The planet comes first; all objectives should be with the intention to better our planet.

  • We address the planet as a whole; we look forward to sharing stories from all over the world.

  • Quality AND Quantity Through Collaboration; Use networking and collaboration to provide a wide variety of content with a high quality standard.

  • We value transparency; in our work, our mistakes, our funding and our approach.

  • Accuracy and research are essential; we ensure the proper processes are in place to triple check our facts.

  • Diversity of voice; we welcome all backgrounds with an interest in saving the earth.

  • We pay the best we can; creative professionals deserve adequate compensation and support.

  • We work with those doing good; we will not take funding from industries that are knowingly damaging our earth, contributing to rising emissions or oppressing people for profit and not doing their best to correct it.

The ‘Win Win’ Approach

When Good Planet takes on a new project we always approach it with our ‘win-win’ approach. Simply put, we thrive to have everything we do become a win for everyone involved. We always consider how many people involved throughout the process can benefit and how we can best leverage the opportunity to provide a long lasting, positive impact for everyone included.

Let’s use our ‘profiles’ as an example. While we wrap our heads around the best way to tell the subject’s story, we’re also looking at the process from the perspective of an art director or marketing professional. Beyond just bringing attention to the subject's cause, we also approach each piece with the hopes of providing deliverables that the subject can use beyond their experience with Good Planet. For example, this seemingly simple piece delivered the startup 104 professional, high quality photographs for their marketing needs.

Understanding that most of the subjects we cover are working with small budgets that need to be allocated to their mission, we are excited to provide anything we can to further help their cause.

All that to say, by contributing to The Good Planet Project, your contribution goes far beyond what you see. By working with us we can guarantee your efforts will be a win-win for everyone involved and further.
